Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Question 1: How do I submit pictures or material for posting on this site?
  Answer: If the material is available in electronic format like a document or picture file, the best way is to send the material via email to usa_office@samaclassmates.com. <Click this link to display the  'Untitled Message' dialog to compose a new message. Click 'INSERT' on the toolbar at the top then click 'FILE' on the 'Drop Down Menu'. Browse to find the file you want to send.  Complete the message as desired, then click 'SEND'.   If the picture file is too large, send to this alternate email address.

   If the electronic format of the file is not available then conversion is required. Refer to
   Question 2.

Question 2: How do I convert a printed document or picture to an electronic file suitable for attaching to an email?
  Answer: A printed document containing text charaters only may be scanned by a document scanner and saved as a text file, ex. filename.txt.
               If the document has pictures or graphics then scan the document and save it as a jpg file, ex. filename.jpg.
               Printed pictures may be scanned and save in several formats. It is preferrable to save the scanned picture as a jpg file because it preserves the best features of the picture and takes smaller disk space.


Question 3: What can be done to pictures that are partly torn, faded, dark or overexposed?
  Answer: First scan the picture as described in the answer to question 2 and send the electronic file using the procedure in answer 1. A photo editing program may be used to adjust the image to make it brighter or darker as needed. Small missing areas may be filled in to improve the image. Out of focus pictures are generally more difficult to correct.

Question 4: What shall I do if I do not have access to a document scanner?
    Answer: Send the printed material or picture by mail to:

Question 5: What is the preferred method to post an opinion or topic for discussion?
     Answer: The Message Board, also known as the FORUM is the best way to post messages, opinions or topics for discussion. The advantage of the FORUM is the ability to organize postings according to the topic. Go to the Message Board and click FORUM..   Current topics will be displayed at the main FORUM page labeled 'SAMA Alumni Message Board'. To reply to an existing  forum topic, click the topic name in the leftmost column. The posted replies whall be displayed. Click the 'New Topic' link, complete the required fields and click 'Post Message'
